Terms of Service
These terms outline the agreement between you and Plumber ASAP for plumbing services. Please read them before booking.
Service Agreement
By engaging Plumber ASAP for any service, you agree to these terms. A service is confirmed once a quote is accepted and a booking time is scheduled. All work is carried out by licensed plumbers in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.
Quotes & Fixed Pricing
We quote a fixed price for the job before any work starts. On-site inspection may reveal conditions that affect the final price — any changes are discussed and agreed with you before work proceeds. No hidden charges, ever.
Workmanship Warranty
Our workmanship is guaranteed. If a repair we've carried out fails due to the quality of our work within the stated warranty period, we'll return and fix it at no charge. Warranty terms vary by job type and are documented in your service paperwork. Warranties do not cover pre-existing conditions, third-party damage, or issues arising from conditions outside our control.
Compliance Certificates
Where the work requires it — including gas work and certain plumbing installations — we issue a compliance certificate confirming the work meets the relevant Australian Standard and QBCC requirements.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand plans change. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a booking. Same-day cancellations may incur a call-out fee to cover the plumber's travel and time.
Access Requirements
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the areas requiring work, including under-floor spaces, roof access, and interior spaces where relevant. Please advise us of any pets, sensitivities, or access constraints when booking.
Payment Terms
Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major payment methods, and account facilities may be available for commercial and strata clients by arrangement.
Liability
Plumber ASAP holds public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the cost of the work provided. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, damage caused by failed plumbing prior to our work, or issues arising from conditions outside our control.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with Queensland law.
Price Beat Guarantee — Terms & Conditions
Our Price Beat Guarantee applies where a customer provides a genuine written quote from another plumbing provider that meets the following conditions:
- 1. Current Quote
The competitor's quote must be dated within the previous 7 days, remain valid at the time it is submitted to us, and relate to the same property and work being quoted.
- 2. Licensed & Insured Competitor
The quote must be from a legitimate local plumbing business that is appropriately qualified, licensed and insured to carry out the quoted work.
- 3. Like-for-Like Comparison
The competitor's quote must be for substantially the same scope of work, products, materials, equipment and level of service.
This includes, where applicable:
- Same or equivalent product brands, models and specifications
- Same quality and quantity of materials
- Same labour and installation requirements
- Same warranties and guarantees
- Same removal and disposal requirements
- Same compliance work, certificates and required approvals
- Same access and site conditions
- Same call-out, travel, delivery or after-hours requirements
- 4. Total Price Compared
The comparison will be based on the total price payable, including GST and any applicable labour, materials, equipment, call-out fees, delivery charges and other compulsory charges.
- 5. Written & Itemised Quote Required
The competitor quote must be provided in writing and contain sufficient information for us to confirm the scope of work and accurately compare the two offers.
- 6. Verification
We reserve the right to verify the authenticity, validity and details of a competitor quote before applying the Price Beat Guarantee.
- 7. Exclusions
The Price Beat Guarantee does not apply to:
- Verbal estimates or quotes
- Quotes more than 7 days old
- Expired or withdrawn quotes
- Quotes from unlicensed or uninsured operators
- Cash-only, mates-rates, employee, family or trade-only pricing
- Pricing errors or obviously incorrect quotes
- Insurance-funded or insurer-negotiated work
- Government-funded or subsidised pricing
- Quotes involving different, second-hand or inferior materials or equipment
- Work where the scope, specifications or site conditions are materially different
- Offers that cannot reasonably be verified
- 8. Claim Before Work Commences
The Price Beat Guarantee must be requested before our quote is accepted and before any work commences.
- 9. Price Beat
Where an eligible competitor quote meets these conditions, we will provide a lower total price for the comparable work.
- 10. Other Offers
Unless otherwise agreed, the Price Beat Guarantee cannot be combined with other discounts, promotional offers or special pricing.
- 11. Assessment
We may request further information where required to determine whether a competitor quote is genuinely comparable. Any differences in scope, materials, equipment or service will be taken into account when assessing the Price Beat Guarantee.
Australian Consumer Law
Our Price Beat Guarantee is an additional offer and does not exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies available to customers under the Australian Consumer Law.
